Teens Attacking Teens: Bloody Day in Jerusalem Leaves 3 Young People Dead, More Wounded

A bloody day in Jerusalem  left three young people dead and more wounded.

At one point, two young Palestinians — ages 13 and 17 — stabbed an Israeli 20-year-old and a 13-year-old on a bike in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev. Both stabbing victims survived. One Palestinian teen was shot dead by police while another was hit by a passing car when he tried to escape and taken to hospital.

Then, in a separate incident a 16-year-old girl from East Jerusalem stabbed a 21-year-old border policeman at the entrance to national police headquarters. The Israeli policeman was lightly wounded. After being stabbed, he grabbed his gun and shot the girl. She survived, although her condition is not known.

A third incident occurred near the Lion’s Gate entrance to Old City. A 19-year-old tried to stab a police officer stationed at the gate. Instead, he was shot dead by another policeman at the scene.
