Ron Prosor has been a vocal proponent of Israel during his tenure as Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations.

This week, Ambassador Prosor bid farewell to his post and handed over the reigns to incoming Ambassador Danny Danon, former Deputy Minister and Knesset member.

During a final photo-op with Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Prosor used his time with the UN head to discuss the current security situation facing Israel and invite Ban to once again come as see Israel for himself.

Prosor also took to Facebook to talk about his time as Israel’s advocate at the international assembly.

“4 years ago, when I arrived at our Mission to the UN, Israel was facing a challenging reality, and was fighting in the battle on public opinion. Today, upon my return to Israel, our reality remains complicated,” Prosor wrote.
