In recent weeks, the violence between Palestinians and Israelis has intensified.

Now, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has arrived in Jerusalem to meet with leaders on both sides to stop the violence from “spinning out of control.”

“My visit reflects the sense of global alarm at the dangerous escalation in violence between Israelis and Palestinians,” Ban told the press during a meeting held with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin. “I am here to encourage and support all efforts to lower tensions and prevent the situation from spinning out of control.”
